Are We There Yet? Growing Up

"Have Some Fun" is a Song of the Week and it is featured as the 4th song of Season 8.

Lyrics

I'm going to swing on by,
I'll reach for the sky.
I'm going to aim high,
Today I'm going to shine.
I want to skip and run,
Smile at everyone.
Fill my day with fun
And have a real good time.

Everybody's gonna feel good.
Everybody's gonna have a good time, yeah!

Are you ready to have some fun? (C'mon!)
Are you ready, everyone? (Have some fun!)
Are you ready to have some fun with me?
C'mon and set your spirit free!

I'm gonna sing out loud,
Gonna float on a cloud.
Be on top of the world,
Just you wait and see.
I just gotta say
How great I feel today.
I'm going up, up, up.
Why don't you come with me?

Everybody's gonna feel good.
Everybody's gonna have a good time, yeah!

Are you ready to have some fun? (C'mon!)
Are you ready, everyone? (Have some fun!)
Are you ready to have some fun with me?
C'mon and set your spirit free!

Today, the sun is gonna shine
And everybody's gonna have a real good time, yeah!

Are you ready?
C'mon!
Are you ready?
Everyone, c'mon!
Are you ready?
Have some fun! Whoo!
Are you ready?
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon!

Are you ready to have some fun? (C'mon!)
Are you ready, everyone? (Have some fun!)
Are you ready to have some fun with me?
C'mon and set your spirit free!

Are you ready
To have some fun?
Are you ready
To have some fun?
Are you ready
To have some fun?
C'mon!

Trivia

  • The song's structure was inspired by 1960s Motown records.
  • For the majority of the song, the cast sang with toy microphones.
  • During the credits, the cast were lip-syncing the song while interacting with the kids.

Goofs

  • In the TV series, the lyrics were stated to be by Chris Phillips. However, in the Wish Upon A Star album poster, the lyrics were stated to be by Leone Carey.
  • There was an error in the transition of the week theme animation and the song, where the first scene of the song appears before the cartoon butterfly flies across the screen.[2]
