She replaced Charli Robinson in 2008 and filled her role until 2013, when she left the show to pursue her solo career. Her final performance was in Cebu City, Philippines, on 19 January 2013, along with Tim Maddren.

Early Life

She is the daughter of Ray Burgess, who also pursued a musical career and was a presenter on Countdown. Her first television appearances included the TV show Home and Away and the TV movie Scorched. At the age of 15, she was also a presenter for Girl TV.

Hi-5 (2008-2013)

She joined the cast of Hi-5 at the age of 19. She was originally going to appear in Series 10 but was scrapped, and Charli Robinson stayed in the series due to a high budget. In other words she was originally meant to be the host of the Body Move segment. However, after Kellie's departure, she became the host of the Word Play segment from Series 11 to 13.

After Hi-5

After departing the show, she began work on her debut album with Fox Studio.

Personal Life

In 2013, Burgess was also a guest singer on the anti-fracking single No Fracking Way by Leo Sayer to help raise funds for anti-fracking group Lock the Gate.

In early 2020, she made a first guest appearance in Stevie's Superdudes.

Burgess released her first solo album CD, "Space To Breathe," on 2 October 2020.
