Dayen Allender
Dayen Allender (née Zheng; born 15 January 1990 in Busan, South Korea) was a cast member of Hi-5 House in 2013. She debuted on tour in 2012, with her last performance at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. She replaced Fely Irvine after her last performance for with the group in December 2011 on the Carols By Candlelight ceremony.
Biography
Dayen Zheng was born in South Korea but was raised in North Queensland, Australia. She trained as a ballerina for 6 years, studying at the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus.
Hi-5 (2012-2016)
Allender joinned the Australian children's musical group Hi-5 in 2012. She made her debut on Hi-5 Holiday concert tour. Then, in 2013, she officially joins the group along with Ainsley Melham and Mary Lascaris to form the ''third generation'' also known as Hi-5 House. She announced that she would be leaving the group in December 2016, along with Mary Lascaris, Tanika Anderson, and Gabe Brown, after the Hi-5 Fairytale concert tour.
After Hi-5
After she left Hi-5, she founded and opened Blue Lagoon Bar at The Esplanade in Cairns, Queensland, in 2018. On 15 May 2019, she and her then-fiancé, Nathan Allender, gave birth to a baby boy named Conner Peter Allender. They both officially got married in May 2021, where the soundtrack to L.O.V.E. was played during their wedding.
Personal life
Dayen likes tigers, and her nicknames are Dee and Diesel. Her favourite colour is blue. She listens to all kinds of music. The Harry Potter series is her favourite book.
She appeared in Stevie Nicholson's Superdudes in 2020.
