So you want to edit the wiki on the Hi-5 World Wiki? Here's a quick guide to the Hi-5 World Wiki:

When it comes to dates, be a European

This: dd Month Year

Example: today is 1 March 2026.

Not this: Month dd, year

Example: today is March 1, 2026.

Likewise, avoid numerical dating (03/1/2026 or 1/03/2026) because that confuses the hell out of people depending if you're a European or American.

While Americanized spellings are the standard, it's still a good idea to use European dating to avoid confusion.

Furthermore, it's easier to link to.

For instance, if you went with European dating, to link to a month, all it would be is:

dd [[Month Year]]

whereas an American dating would be:

Month dd [[Month Year|Year]]

When it comes to spelling, be an Australian

Hi-5 originated and had pretty much the majority of it's success in Australia. As a result, Australian English is the standard for the Hi-5 World Wiki So, it's "program" and not "programme," it's a "catalogue" and not a "catalog," you get the idea.

However, on a similar note, please be considerate of our users from Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Some of our international users are not totally familiar with Australian culture the original Hi-5 may reference, so it is helpful to add a mild explanatory note for these.
