Let's Get To Work I Spy

"Buried Treasure" is a Song of the Week and it is featured as the 7th song of Season 3.

Lyrics

Heave ho and away we go.
Heave ho and away we go.
Heave ho and away we go.
Heave ho and away we go.
Argh, me hearties!

The treasure map will lead you
To a secret cave.
Maybe gold, maybe silver,
Remember to be brave.
Was it lost in a shipwreck,
Or stolen in the night?
Or buried for safe keeping
On an island out of sight?

X marks the spot, what is buried below?

One, two, three steps forward.
Here we go, in a circle, then backwards and slow.
X marks the spot.
What is buried below?
Forgotten treasure from long, long, long ago.

One, two, three steps forward.
Here we go, in a circle, then backwards and slow.
X marks the spot.
What is buried below?
Forgotten treasure from long, long, long ago.

Heave ho and away we go.
Heave ho and away we go.

The treasure in a chest
Upon the ocean floor.
The only lasting memory
Of a time before.
The map says we're closer,
But what will we find?
Diamonds or pearls or
Treasures of another kind?

X marks the spot, what is buried below?

One, two, three steps forward.
Here we go, in a circle, then backwards and slow.
X marks the spot.
What is buried below?
Forgotten treasure from long, long, long ago.

One, two, three steps forward.
Here we go, in a circle, then backwards and slow.
X marks the spot.
What is buried below?
Forgotten treasure from long, long, long ago.

Heave ho and away we go.
Heave ho and away we go.
Heave ho and away we go.
Heave ho and away we go.

X marks the spot!

Trivia

  • In the ending version, instead of showing the whole cast in the last scene, it showed only Nathan getting bird poop on his shirt.
  • This is the second song to not feature the song's title in the lyrics, with the first being “You And Me”. It is followed by “Zoo Party” and “Four Seasons”.
  • Nathan is the only one not to have worn a pirate bandana in the song.
  • This is the first Song Of The Week to feature Chatterbox and Jup Jup in the ending version of a song.
  • "Buried Treasure" was later used as a songlet in "Earth Treasures" and "The Past".
