Biography

Early life

Sun Park was born in Suwon, South Korea before immigrating to Australia as a young girl, raised in Sydney's Northern Beaches. Sun graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. She also performed in the Brisbane and Sydney seasons of the musical "Mamma Mia!" Sun would go on to perform in the live show "BPM—Beats Per Minute," an amalgamation of funk, rock, jazz, and hip-hop music, as well as with the Australian musical group Rogue Traders, featuring Natalie Bassingthwaighte.

Hi-5 (2006-2008)

In April 2006, Sun joined the children's entertainment group Hi-5 originally as the temporary replacement after one of it's original members Kathleen de Leon Jones announced her pregnancy, and would take maternity leave, however in July 2007, Sun was announced as the permanent replacement after Kathleen confirmed that she would not return to the group to focus on raising her daughter. Park was part of the television series filming for both seasons 9 and 10 and toured with the group across Australia.

In December 2008, Sun announced that she would leave the entertainment group Hi-5 after working with the group for three years, in order to focus on settling down and starting her family, as well as stating that she believed she had only been meant to be a temporary replacement for Kathleen in the first place, with Sun's final performance with the group being at the 2008 Carols by Candlelight. She would eventually be replaced by Fely Irvine.

After Hi-5

In late 2020, Sun appeared in fellow Hi-5 band member Stevie Nicholson's Superdudes video[1]

In 2021, Park was named in the cast for ABC drama Troppo.

Personal life

In 2009, she married business development worker Nathan Pezzimenti, the couple would go on to have two children.
