Hi-5 House (Season 4, Cancelled)

From Hi-5 World Wiki

Season 4 of Hi-5 House was slated to premiere from late 2016 to early 2017. 25 episodes were planned. This would have been the fourth season of the third generation. It was discarded due to the Nine Network renewing its partnership with the Hi-5 franchise, resulting in the cancellation of the House spin-off and the formation of a revival of Hi-5 Australia.[1]

Songs & Themes

This season's songs were teased in the tie-in stage tours House of Dreams and Fairytale, with the reworked instrumentals fully completed. One new song was developed titled "Hi-5 Party", supposedly a tie-in to the adaptation Hi-5 Fiesta.[2] This was later reworked into Hi-5 Dance Off. The themes remained the same in the final version, but songs of the second and fifth weeks were switched to be even closer to Fiesta's first season.

Trivia

  • Gabe Brown was hired as the replacement for Ainsley Melham, having his first performance in February. However, he inexplicably left the group only 2 months later, and was replaced by Chris White. His abrupt exit is one of the potential reasons the reformatting of the season was decided upon.
  • Breakers for this season were filmed in early 2016, some of which were recut and used in the final version of the season.
  • This would have been Tanika Anderson's first season with brunette hair (and red highlights). It is unknown if her avatar would have been updated to reflect this change, but merchandise released in this period still depicted her hair as bright red.
  • The scripts of this season were reused for the finalized Season 17, with slight modifications such as shortening the episode introduction and adding a third Body Move segment.
  • The Jupsters would have made their debut in this season, but their song was a completely new composition, shown in the Fairytale tour[5], as opposed to the reworked version of Looking for A Friend.
